Dahi phulki 

Dahi Phulki or also known as dumplings in yogurt 

are popularly consumed savory dahi phulki in Pakistan. 

Dahi Phulki is considered to be a side meal and light 

The major ingredients used in Dahi Phulki recipe is basin and yogurt For making the batter of Dahi Phulki

 you can use soda,red chili, cumin seed& salt, and water. 

Preparation of sweet sauce is done separately. Phulki is fried in oil and when it turns light golden is shifted to water bowl. Water is later strained and Dahi Phulki is placed in a serving dish. 

Delicious and yummy Dahi Phulki is perfect item for Iftar during Ramadan.

How to make Dahi phulki


1. Yogurt                                half kg

2. Boiled potatoes                1 chopped

3. Onion                                 1 chopped

4. tomato                               2 chops

5. Boil gram                          1/2 cup of 

6. green chillies                  2 chopped

7 Chaat masala                   1 tbsp

8. Salt                                 According to taste

9. Red chilli                          1/2 tsp

Ingredients for making papri

1.  basin                      1 cup
2. Salt                         to taste

3.  red chilli             powder ½ tsp

4.  cumin.                         ½ tsp

5. baking soda                  ¼ tsp

6. water                             ½ cup

How to make a phulki

1.  Put the basin in a bowl,
2. add salt, cumin, baking soda, red chilli    powder and mix well. 
3. Add water and mix well.
4. Now put oil in a pan and heat it
Put the mixture in it and fry it and phulki take it out in the plate.

How to make bhallay

1. daal maash (white)           2 cups
          (Presoaked for 4-5 hours)

2.  Pinch of baking soda

 3.  salt                                   1/2 tsp

1.  Grind the presoaked daal into a paste and add rest of the spices.

2.   Mix well and leave for 30 minutes.

3.   Then in a frying pan add 1 tbsp of oil and with the help of a spoon drop into the pan flat rounded patties and shallow fry till light brown.

4.  Do not turn over to fry other side

5.  Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying and then deep fry.

6. When golden brown remove and cool.

7.  When serving, soak in a bowl of water and when a little soft squeeze out the water between palms and add to prepared yogurt.

Ingredients for sweet sauce

1. tamarind pulp            1 cup
2.  sugar                           1/2 cup
3. Water                          1 cup
4. Black salt                    1/4 tsp
5. Hot spice powder     1/4 tsp
6. Corn floor                   1/2 tablespoon
7. Red food color           1/4 tsp

How to make a sweet sauce

1. Put tamarind pulp in a pan and heat it. Now add water and sugar at the same time. 

2. And then let it cook for 10 minutes. Then add black salt and hot spices and stir. 

3. Then mix the corn flour in water and put it in it and stir.

4.  And cook for five minutes. Now add red color in it and mix well and take out the sweet sauce in a bowl.

Method of Dahi phulki

1. Put yogurt in a bowl and mix well

2. Add salt, red chilli, chaat masala, green chilli and mix well.

3. Then add chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped potatoes, phulki, bhalla, gram,And mix well.

4. then garnish with sweet sauce and papri.sprrinkle Chaat masala Easy to make delicious dahi phulki is ready to eat.
